Calgary Young People's Theatre
at Kid's Fest!
This year, at the Calgary International Children's Festival a team of CYPT Directors, Designers, Stage Managers and Instructors will be making your favorite stories come alive right before your very eyes.
These short, FREE, 15 minute performances will take storytelling to a brand new level. A handful of great stories, contemporary and classic, will be adapted and performed by CYPT staff. Performances will happen outside in Olympic Plaza all day long during the festival, which runs May 25 to 29. CYPT is thrilled to be entering into a community partnership with the Calgary International Children's Festival, as both organizations have been providing Calgary families with Theatre for Young Audiences of the highest quality for the last two decades.
Mat Mailandt, Artistic Director of CYPT remarks:
"CYPT staff are always chosen from theatre professionals of diverse backgrounds. They are passionate about teaching young people, but also about performing theatre. This will be an excellent opportunity for CYPT families to enjoy the other side of our team and watch them perform for a change. It's a great partnership that we hope grows in years to come."
